Advising

The First Year Advising and Exploration office provides a variety of advising services, programs, and resources for the first year student population at UCF. Students are assigned an academic advisor who will assist them during their first year of college. Advisor assignments are emailed to students in September.

The First Year Advising and Exploration office operates primarily on an appointment basis. Advisors are available for walk-ins during “Walk-In Wednesdays” and during certain weeks of the semester such as add/drop and withdrawal weeks. During busy registration times, advisors will also be available at “Advisors on Location” events where our office brings advising to the residence halls, student union, and other parts of campus.
